Dr. Jessica M. Peña, Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medicine, began her path towards becoming a physician in the year 1992 when she joined the Health Professions Recruitment Exposure Program (HPREP) at Weill Cornell Medicine. In the October 31, 2018 edition of STAT, she describes her experience with HPREP and her journey in medicine. “My own path in medicine has been bolstered by HPREP and other programs like it at later stages of my training and career,” says Dr. Peña.
