The Division of Public Health Programs is involved in a variety of ongoing basic science and clinical research projects. Topics of study and interest include:

  • Evaluation and assessment of integrated trauma and substance abuse care models
  • Integrated treatment models for PTSD treatment
  • Development and evaluation of peer-to-peer counseling in veteran populations, for PTSD and suicide prevention
  • Evaluation of novel PTSD treatments for veterans, including EMDR and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
  • Novel models for vulnerable population HCV treatment
  • Immunology in opiate-dependent individuals
  • Cocaine vaccine clinical trials
