Nicholas Adams, Patient Coordinator, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, is known for his outstanding professionalism, helpfulness, and can-do demeanor. Fazeela Ali, Administrative Specialist, Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, joined her division during the pandemic and adapted to all work challenges with efficiency and ease. She swiftly became recognized for her professionalism, communication skills, organizational ability, and a can-do approach. Fazeela participated in a major initiative to assist older patients dealing with COVID-19, and they were all appreciative of her kindness and polite demeanor. Her efficiency in working with the division’s chiefs has also been outstanding and has paved the way for new projects in her future.

Shentique Brown, Staff Nurse, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, exemplifies what is means to be a role model and a super star. She is known for her professionalism, outstanding work ethic, good judgment, calm demeanor, ability to work as a team player, and superb skill in the field of nursing. In the most challenging of situations, Shentique always keeps the patient in mind. Kendra Cardenas, Clinical Administrative Assistant, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is known for meeting the most challenging situations with skill and professionalism. She is recognized for her efficiency, organizational abilities, responsiveness, and positive outlook. An indispensable member of her team, she ensures quality management practices in support of genetics services at the highest level of excellence. Bryan Cespedes, Senior Medical Secretary, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, is known for delivering consistently superb customer service and a willingness to go the extra mile when helping patients with scheduling visits and arranging tests. Tiffany Choi, Nurse Practitioner, Division of Cardiology, is known for her extraordinary clinical skill and conscientiousness. Corinne Clauss, Clinical Operations Administrator, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, is known for her outstanding managerial skills, attention to detail, and for creating a work environment defined by professionalism. Newly recruited to her division, Corinne swiftly learned office systems and operations with ease, while promoting divisional growth and lending guidance to her staff at all times.

Kaitlin Cruz, Practice Supervisor, Division of Cardiology, has a proven record of providing outstanding service on the front lines of patient care. Shavannie Kalap, Patient Access Coordinator, Division of Cardiology, has demonstrated top-notch skill in helping patients to receive access in the medical environment. Patricia Kim, Research Program Coordinator, Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, has become a key member of the research enterprise in geriatrics. Supervisors note that she has swiftly learned how to implement new systems while troubleshooting protocols. She is also known for her ability to meet multiple deadlines and for fostering strong ties within the work community. Her actions have exemplified true teamwork. Meron Kassa Jote, Echocardiography Specialist, Division of Cardiology, has become known as an “amazing” cardiac sonographer in a very short period of time since joining her division. Using the latest 3D state-of-the-art technology, Meron learned all the requisite skills needed in record time. Not only did she swiftly become an expert in her field, she developed a learning/teaching collaboration with her fellow colleagues through which they have all upgraded their own skill sets. Meron is also known for her upbeat and professional demeanor. She represents the very best of a new generation in echocardiography.

Sarah Mawahdeh, Senior Patient Coordinator, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, exemplifies what it means to be a patient advocate. Her efficiency, compassion, and leadership in helping patients navigate the medical system has been noted by patients and staff alike. Kenia Meson, Senior Medical Secretary, is a new member of the Weill Department of Medicine who has swiftly established herself as a highly valuable employee working in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Kenia excels in utilizing her outstanding administrative skills and has even participated in training new hires on the secretarial staff. Beata Mikluch, Registered Nurse, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, represents the field of nursing at its best. Her patients greatly value her fund of knowledge, her skill in administering infusion services, and her ability to explain all of the steps involved in receiving an infusion. Margarette Pierre-Louis, Credentialing Coordinator, Administration, is recognized for her extraordinary efficiency and attention to detail. Margarette continually monitors her work while interacting with the department’s divisions to ensure that credentialing is completed in a timely manner. Division staff comment on Margarette’s skill in utilizing SharePoint and in keeping information up to date. Margarette is also known for her professionalism and congenial demeanor. Yalitza Ramos, Senior Medical Secretary, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, knows how to communicate successfully with patients and physicians alike. Yalitza communicates with clarity and efficiency, schedules patient appointments and tests with outstanding organizational skill, and anticipates the patient’s needs at every turn. Her willingness to take on extra duties in the most challenging of work scenarios, as well as her calm and pleasant demeanor, has inspired the best among her peers. Her positive attitude is contagious! Yalitza is a true professional.

Christina Reyes, Senior Medical Secretary, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, is recognized for her professionalism, efficiency, and courteous demeanor. Known as an exemplary employee who represents the department at the highest level of excellence, Christina continually ensures that all of the numerous administrative details that are involved in patient care, from scheduling to retrieval of records, are carried out with ease. Jeanette Rivera, Customer Service Representative, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, has been recognized by patients as representing the best in outstanding business practices. Kate Zarzuela holds an M.D. and serves as a Research Coordinator (Goyal Lab) in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She has been recognized for her superb expertise in managing and coordinating clinical trials, as well as a patient registry that includes data for hundreds of patients. She also plays an important role in helping to recruit/onboard personnel to the Goyal Lab; this includes training new personnel, supervision, and management.
