The Joan and Sanford I. Weill Department of Medicine (WDOM) is committed to providing high value, safe, equitable, effective, and patient-directed care across the inpatient and ambulatory settings. We aim to support and promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization by enhancing patient safety and quality of care, reducing the potential for healthcare errors, mitigating risk for patients, and establishing a reliable, safe healthcare environment through oversight of both the inpatient and outpatient settings across our clinical divisions.
Working collaboratively with New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYP), Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM)/Physician Organization (PO), we have built a comprehensive quality and patient safety program encompassing education, training, and mentorship for students, residents, fellows, and faculty.
