Because of the great number of highly qualified persons applying to our program, only selected international medical graduates who have authentic clinical experience for a minimum of two months in a U.S. hospital (observership does not qualify) will be invited to interview. Applicants should have substantial research experience, outstanding letters of recommendation from clinical supervisors in the United States, and a valid ECFMG certification. There is no specific board score requirement or minimum graduation year.
Please note: NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center does not sponsor H-1B visas. We accept J-1 visas only.
All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). All applicants must register with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP); we accept intern applicants only through the NRMP. Applicants will be considered for interviews on the basis of their overall record.
