Established in 1995, The David E. Rogers Memorial Research Award encourages medical residents in support of their creative investigative research in internal medicine. Senior medical residents submit research abstracts and four finalists are chosen to present their work during Medical Grand Rounds.
Award Recipients from the Department of Medicine
In keeping with our tradition of excellence in education, the Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the following Teaching Awards presented to our faculty, fellows and residents at the 2008 Convocation Ceremony, which was held on May 28, 2008 at 5 p.m. in Uris Auditorium.
Johanna Martinez, M.D. has recently been selected as a fellow in the University of North Carolina's Training Program for Academic General Internists. Dr. Martinez is the only individual to be selected to this prestigious fellowship immediately upon graduation from her residency training.
Dr. Tung is a core faculty member in the medical college, serving as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Associate Director of the Residency Training Program in Internal Medicine and the Co-Director for the primary care track.
Established in 2002, the Fellows Research Award is presented annually to fellows within the Weill Department of Medicine who have presented outstanding research.
