Johanna Martinez M.D. (Assistant Attending Physician and Instructor in Medicine) has recently been selected as a fellow in the University of North Carolina's Training Program for Academic General Internists. Dr. Martinez is the only individual to be selected to this prestigious fellowship immediately upon graduation from her residency training.
This program runs from 2008-2009. During the year, she will spend 8 weeks in North Carolina with 14 other young academic internists from around the country. Together they will design and implement a research project on a topic of their choosing.
