This year’s symposium was supported through the co-sponsorship of the Quality Improvement Academy (QIA) Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian Department of Nursing, and the Physician Organization’s Division of Quality and Patient Safety, highlighted 40 quality improvement projects from 15 Departments across Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.

Projects were selected through a peer-review process by Quality Improvement Academy (QIA) alumni, the Weill Department of Medicine’s (WDOM) Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee (QIPS), NewYork-Presbyterian Nursing, and the Weill Cornell Medicine Housestaff Quality Council. Four projects from the Department of Medicine, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, and Nursing received special distinctions based on their rigorous methodology, innovative approach, and sustained impact on patient care.
