Annual Weill Department of Medicine Awards Recognize Exceptional Achievements


The Weill Department of Medicine held its annual Medicine Grand Rounds awards in June.

The Young Fellows Awards was founded by Dr. Ralph L. Nachman to encourage fellows in the Weill Department of Medicine to continue creative investigative research in internal medicine. The award recognizes outstanding scholarship. Congratulations to our 2025 awardees, first place winner Dr. John-William Sidhom, first runner up, Dr. Herman van Besien and second runner up Dr. Lasha Gogokhia.  

The 31st Young Investigators Awards, supported by the Michael Wolk Foundation, is presented annually to members of the Weill Department of Medicine below the rank of professor who perform on outstanding levels in the areas of clinical and/or basic biomedical research. Congratulations to our 2025 recipients Dr. Daniel Choi and runners-up Drs. Kerri Aronson and Sam Yamshon.

The Wallis Prize for Women’s Health Research was founded by Dr. Lila A. Wallis to encourage outstanding research in women’s health. Congratulations to our exceptional 2025 winners, Drs. Lindsey Reif and Aditi Rao.

The David E. Rogers Memorial Research Award recognizes senior medical residents who have accomplished significant research during their residency training. This award is funded by the Holly Andersen Heart Foundation. Congratulations to our 2025 recipients, first place winner Dr. Caitlin Keenan, runner up Dr. Elizabeth Reznick, and finalists Drs. Robert Beale and Jiazhen Li.
