Jane J. Seley, DNP, MPH, MSN, Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, recently received the Allene Von Son Distinguished Service Award during the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) annual meeting in New Orleans on Aug. 9, 2024. A Diabetes Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Dr. Seley co-presented in multiple presentations including F22 - Make Our Dreams Come True for Inpatient Care: One Quality Improvement Project at a Time, F27 - Get a Panel Perspective on Inpatient Diabetes Technology Utilization and the Distinguished Poster Session presentation P525 - How Sweet It Is: Implementing Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Gestational Diabetes (primary presenter Rachel Stahl Salzman was unable to attend).
Named in honor of Allene Von Son Martinez, ADCES’s first president and a distinguished leader in diabetes care, the Allene Von Son Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional practitioners whose outstanding leadership and volunteer contributions in the field of diabetes care and education makes them a standout in the field.
