On Monday, September 20, 2021, Dr. Susana Morales and Dr. Christopher Gonzalez of the WDOM’s Division of General Internal Medicine were honored by WHEDco for their exceptional service throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Held at Yankee Stadium, Drs. Morales and Gonzalez were celebrated at WHEDco’s 2021 Benefit and Ballgame Heroes Honorees event. WHEDco (Building a Greater Bronx!) provides a wide array of beneficial social services to the community. WHEDco recognized “the incredible work” of Drs. Morales and Gonzalez, noting all they “have done throughout the pandemic for our staff and the families we serve in the Bronx at a time when your unique expertise was most needed” and by their “tireless passion and commitment to health equity for communities of color.”
