Until a vaccine is discovered and implemented for COVID-19, WDOM physicians on the frontlines continue to focus on diagnosis, drug treatment options, and best practice guidelines. To that end, two chiefs in the WDOM, Dr. Fernando J. Martinez (Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine) and Dr. Roy M. Gulick (Infectious Diseases), and Dr. David Berlin, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Medical Director for Critical Care Services at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, have produced a clinical practice guide for managing severe COVID-19 published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
