The Weill Department of Medicine is pleased to introduce a new video series, Vitals, which kicked off June 1. Each week, Dr. John Leonard, interim chief of the Weill Department of Medicine, engages in informal conversation with a member of our diverse WDOM comunity of clinicians, researchers, trainees, and administrative staff. We’ll learn more about each other’s roles at the institution, personal interests, and, in short, the essence of what makes each of us a vital part of Weill Cornell Medicine.
Our first episode featured Elias Baez, senior coordinator of Faculty Support. Elias and Dr. Leonard talked about the process of faculty promotion, mentorship, and so much more, including something interesting Dr. Leonard previously didn’t know about Elias.
Last week, Dr. Leonard spoke with Dr. Fred Pelzman, associate medical director of Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates. Dr. Pelzman spoke about his varied career in medicine – along with a few surprises!
This week, Dr. Leonard chatted with Allison Lasky, administrative manager in the division of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine. Dr. Leonard and Allison discussed her career advancement at WDOM as well as a few of Allison's personal aspirations.
