Physicians from the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Provide Expertise at the Lungs & Legs Health Fair

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine participated in the Lungs & Legs Health Fair, sponsored by Weill Cornell Imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, on November 1. Held in the Harkness Courtyard and open to the public, this event provided spirometry testing and education on pulmonary issues, including asthma and COPD. Division physicians Drs. Michael Niederman, Ben-Gary Harvey, and Lester Blair provided top tier expertise and supervision throughout the event. Nurse Practitioner Alanna Kendig was also in attendance. Several volunteers and the division’s clinical technician, Stefan Lazarou, helped to perform spirometry and peak flow testing. If a concern was revealed on the spirometry test, the person was advised to make an appointment with the division. The WDOM congratulates the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine on this proactive effort to educate and assist the public for the treatment of lung disease.
