The Dr. Lila A. and Benedict Wallis Prize for Women’s Health Research was founded to encourage outstanding research in women’s health. The finalists presented their work on June 7, 2017 at Medicine Grand Rounds.
Established in 1980, the award recognizes exceptional and longstanding service demonstrated by a senior member of the medical staff. Dr. Orli Etingin began her clinical practice at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell in 1994 in general internal medicine and hematology-oncology. She founded the Iris Cantor Women's Health Center, a premier patient care provider, in 2000. She served as Associate Chair of the Department of Medicine from 1992 to 1997, and until 2009, as Vice Chair.

Dr. Cathleen London, who comes to Weill Cornell from Boston, where she ran a successful family medicine practice for over 10 years, is working full-time providing clinical care to patients at the Iris Cantor Women's Health Center. An alumna of Brown University and Yale School of Medicine, Dr. London served her internship and residency in family medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University and is board certified in family medicine.
Shari R. Midoneck, M.D., has been appointed to the position of Associate Dean, Academic Affairs, effective January 1, 2010. Dr. Midoneck is the Ehrenkranz/Orli R. Etingin, M.D., Professor in Women's Health; Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in Women's Health at the Weill Cornell Medical College and an Associate Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
