Dr. John R. Lee, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, has received a young investigator grant from the National Kidney Foundation to carry out research that is expected to lead to novel diagnostic tests for the prediction of peritonitis. Dr. Lee’s study holds great promise for patients on peritoneal dialysis who are vulnerable to acquiring peritonitis, an infection that can cause significant morbidity and even death.
