Introducing Weill Cornell's Center for Sleep Medicine

The newly constructed, expanded, and relocated Center for Sleep Medicine opened its doors on March 25, 2010. This innovative, state-of-the-art center is a joint endeavor of the Departments of Medicine and Neurology and Neuroscience and the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The cutting-edge facility consists of 8,000 square feet, including 12 hotel-quality sleep rooms with private bathrooms, cable TV, and WiFi. A multidisciplinary team evaluates the full range of sleep problems, whether they arise from an underlying medical problem such as sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome, other underlying medical and psychiatric conditions, physical airway obstruction, or from poor sleep habits, stress, or anxiety. Equipped with the latest technology, the center offers overnight sleep studies, daytime sleep studies, outpatient consultations and follow-up care. High service standards and effective follow-up communication with both referring physicians and patients are emphasized.
