On April 22, 2019, Weill Cornell Medicine celebrated diversity at a ceremony where two of the WDOM’s faculty were honored for their outstanding service and leadership in promoting diversity. Dr. Robert Peck, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, won a Dean’s Diversity and Healthcare Disparities Research Award, and Dr. Nelson Sanchez, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, won the Bruce Laine Ballard, MD Award for Excellence in Mentorship (Pioneer Award).
