Improving Care of Hospitalized Patients with HIV in Tanzania

Researchers led by Dr. Robert N. Peck, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Global Health, have shown that three months of social worker follow-up support to people hospitalized with HIV in Tanzania had health benefits at low cost. Research Administrator Kristen Brady Runs Half-Marathon to Raise Awareness of Children's Congenital Heart Conditions

On Feb. 26, Kristen Brady, Assistant Director of Research Administration in the Department, ran the 2024 Disney half-marathon and raised $3,250 for the Children’s Heart Foundation. Two of Kristen’s children have significant congenital heart defects. Her four-year-old daughter’s complex heart condition required three surgeries; today she thrives using half a heart.
