What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
The experience in the MICU! We are treated as peers by the attendings as we take care of the sickest patients in the hospital. The MICU is a special place where there is an engrained culture of respect and collaboration between the doctors, nurses, RTs and administration that doesn't exist anywhere else in the hospital. It's truly a joy to come to work every day!
What do you love about New York City?
There is never a moment of boredom in NYC.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Spending time with friends and family, relaxing in the park and visiting the Met.
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
Our fellowship has superb procedural and airway training, approachable faculty, and a great learning environment.
What do you love about New York City?
The restaurant scene is amazing. There’s always something interesting to do whether inside or outdoors.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Walk my dog in Central Park, go to a new restaurant, read, and spend time with family and friends.
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
The community at Weill Cornell within the division and fellowship. It truly feels like a family and the support is unparallel.
What do you love about New York City?
There is so much to explore! As someone who has always lived in NYC, I am still finding something new to see or do every weekend.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Chasing my son around the parks of Queens or spending time with friends around downtown Brooklyn. When motivated, I try to squeeze in a spin or pilates class!
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
I love having the opportunity to lead rounds in the ICU. We are given a ton of autonomy from our amazing attendings to make decisions and do bedside teaching, but never without the support we need for our level of training.
What do you love about New York City?
The food! You barely need to leave your own neighborhood to have access to all of your favorites.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy cooking (I make a mean homemade pasta), playing music (guitar, bass, mandolin) and watching terrible reality tv with my wife.
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
Being in the ICU and our procedure suite. In the ICU, we’re able to practice the gamut of medicine, from stabilizing critically-ill patients to helping get people out of the hospital. In the bronchoscopy suite, we get to do a variety of different procedures with a ton of monitored autonomy.
What do you love about New York City?
Exploring all of the neighborhoods, specifically the food! There’s always something to do and there’s no where else in the world with the amount of variety when it comes to the different neighborhoods. You can travel to a whole other world after a quick subway ride.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Mastering the New York Times games, relaxing in Central Park, and watching a ton of different movies (just missed the Tribeca film festival this year!)
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
Unique experience due to referrals from other hospitals, wide range of diseases, protected time to study/learn, plenty of autonomy with the appropiate level of supervision.
What do you love about New York City?
Allows you to be yourself.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Currently mainly visit new cafes, or go to the park with baby and dog.
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
I love the camaraderie amongst not only the people in our program but everyone who works at Cornell.
What do you love about New York City?
Even when you get off work late, there is always an amazing new restaurant to try or show to see in NYC, so it’s the best place to do your training!
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
I enjoy working with and learning from faculty who provide exceptional clinical care with compassion. The faculty here are invested in optimizing your learning experience as a fellow.
What do you love about New York City?
From an education perspective, the breadth of disease is unmatched. From a personal perspective, there is always something to do outside of work at any time of day or night.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time in Central Park, exploring new neighborhoods in the city, spending time with my nieces, and hiking outside of the city.
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
The people (I know everyone says this, but our people are truly the best!) The attendings treat us as peers while still educating us along the way- it's a great place to learn and gain confidence.
What do you love about New York City?
Big fan of revamped waterfront parks like the Hudson River park in the W 60s/70s. It is also imperative to live in a city where you can get an everything bagel and lox after night shifts.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Train and spend time with my dog, go out to eat and find live music, NYT crosswords, yoga & spin.
What are your favorite things about the fellowship?
The people you work with are very supportive and always thinking about how you can grow, and the patients are a great mix of people that I've built long-term relationships with.
What do you love about New York City?
No matter what you're into or decide to try out, you can find it!
What do you like to do outside of work?
Trying new restaurants with my wife, going to off-broadway plays, going to the beach at the Rockaways.
