A supportive, thoughtful environment for academic medical training
Based on the Upper East Side of New York City the NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center campus is an 850-bed academic medical center serving a large, diverse patient population and functioning as a tertiary care referral center.
| NYC's Academic Hub Hematology & Medical Oncology fellows have access to tri-institutional research seminars, tumor boards, and collaborations between Weill Cornell Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Rockefeller University. | Research-First Curriculum With 18 months of protected research time across Years 2 and 3, our curriculum pairs individualized development plans with robust mentorship, and a structured grant-writing curriculum that actively guides fellows from concept to competitive proposal. |
| Mentoring the Next Generation of Leaders Our fellowship program delivers a structured grant-writing curriculum coupled with an enduring commitment to Fellows’ growth. With sustained mentorship that extends beyond graduation, we ensure career transitions to an independent research career are fully supported. | Comprehensive Clinical Training Our fellows rotate through benign hematology, solid tumors, leukemia, lymphoma, bone marrow transplant, myeloma, CAR-T and cell therapy, with ongoing Continuity Clinics throughout all three years of training. |
| Diverse Patient Population We care for patients of varying socioeconomic backgrounds, fostering culturally-sensitive practice and exposure to the full spectrum of hematologic and oncologic disease. | Career-Ready Graduates Our graduates become leaders in basic research, clinical research, and academia. Recent graduates have moved onto academic roles at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM), Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK), Stanford, Ohio State, MD Anderson, New York University (NYU) and institutions across the country. |
