Dr. Alice Tang Invited to Teach at the Harvard Macy Institute

Dr. Alice Tang

Dr. Alice Tang was invited to teach as a faculty member at the Harvard Macy Institute’s Assessment and Evaluation course, Systems Thinking in Health Professions Education course, a five-day training program for educational leaders that applies systems thinking to programs of assessment and evaluation. 

The course has been consistently expressed with enthusiams from scholars with the course dynamic design and the impactful presentations. Additionally, the course allows students to work collaboratievely and engage in an active learning environment. 

Dr. Tang is an academic hospitalist and medical educator at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she serves as Assistant Chief for Education and Co-Director of the Clinical Scholars Program in the Section of Hospital Medicine. Her work focuses on improving the clinical learning environment through curricular innovation and faculty development, particularly in feedback and coaching. She leads initiatives that train faculty as effective mentors and role models and has received grants to study programs, such as the “Resident-as-Attending” rotation and the Master Coach Program. Her efforts aim to foster a culture of growth mindset, empathy and lifelong learning among clinicians.
