Dr. Kapil Rajwani
Dr. Kapil Rajwani has received the Physician of the Year Award from the Department of Nursing. The Department of Nursing bestows this award to physicians who consistently practice with Nursing, as well as their support staff, in a collaborative, collegial, and respectful manner. Dr. Rajwani was noted for exemplifying the spirit of this award and for his devotion to the well-being of patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
An Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Rajwani has been described by colleagues as being an inspiration to all of the MICU staff, as well as his fellow physicians. In addition to his work in the MICU in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine, he teaches medical residents with a focus on simulation training for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and various other procedures that are performed in the intensive care unit.
