Dr. Sonnenberg Publishes Collaborative Study in Nature Medicine: New Promising Approach for Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Dr. Gregory F. Sonnenberg, Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, has published pivotal findings in Nature Medicine. Dr. Sonnenberg, a member of the Roberts Institute for Research in IBD, has led an international team that developed an innovative therapeutic approach that blocked production of an inflammation-promoting molecule in mice – but left key protective immune factors intact.
