The Employee Recognition Review Committee (R3) of the Weill Department of Medicine completed its bimonthly review of all nominees, and two "superstar" winners were announced: Svetoslava Bardarova and Gina Rodriguez.
On June 4, 2015, the Weill Department of Medicine hosted a retirement party at Griffis Faculty Club for Ralph L. Nachman, M.D., who had served as the department's chairman for two decades. From far and wide, colleagues, friends and family were in attendance to celebrate Dr. Nachman's extraordinary career as a physician, scientist, mentor, and administrator. Speeches were given by those who have worked closely with Dr. Nachman and/or had been trained by him at Weill Cornell.

The Weill Department of Medicine is focused on increasing its research footprint both at Weill Cornell and on a national level. To that end, the department has established a mentoring infrastructure to assist junior faculty during their transition to NIH K and R series grants. This infrastructure supports a monthly meeting that seeks to build, promote, and mentor the department's junior faculty.
