The award encourages medical residents to continue their investigative research in internal medicine. Each year, senior medical residents submit research abstracts, and finalists are chosen to present their work during medical grand rounds.
The event included 30 posters from projects led by medical students, residents, fellows, attending faculty, and the Department of Nursing across seven departments on the Weill Cornell Medicine, Lower Manhattan, and NYP-Queens campuses.

Dr. Mehta’s work in the city of Pune, which is a hub for academic excellence in India, will involve implementing geriatric palliative care education for interdisciplinary providers across various healthcare settings.
This year’s group of interns include 24 women and 21 men who hail from a total of 30 different top tier medical schools including 6 from Weill Cornell Medical College.

Medical students got to participate in mock residency interviews, meet top experts in a wide range of medical fields, and learn about the career paths of former Weill Cornell residents.
