The Employee Recognition Program Selection Committee celebrated the Weill Department of Medicine’s star performers at the Annual RRR (Results, Rewards, Recognition) Reception held at the Griffis Faculty Club on November 8, 2018. Each year a select number of department employees are honored at this celebratory event. The event was led by Nancy Bennett, Associate Director, Faculty & Staff Support.
The event served to foster and expand research activities and collaborations at Weill Cornell Medicine between established and emerging leaders in their respective fields.
This conference was designed to highlight research programs within the department, expand scientific collaborations, and promote the exchange of knowledge between trainees and senior investigators.
The coveted award honors an established investigator who has made outstanding contributions to thyroid-related research over the course of many years.
Coinciding with the arrival of the WDOM’s newly appointed Chair, Dr. Anthony Hollenberg, the report highlights news covering the department’s tripartite mission of clinical care, research, and education.
Dr. Gudi will oversee a broad range of training programs and will work closely with the Department to advance its educational mission in furthering faculty development.
In his new role, Dr. Brown will continue to provide expertise as a Clinical Director while developing programs in faculty development across all of the department’s missions.
In her new role, Dr. Lief will help establish and run a post-discharge ICU clinic, while also fulfilling her duties as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Assistant Attending in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
His outstanding operational and leadership skills will be utilized in his new role, in which he will advance key educational and academic activities as well as other areas of importance to the department.
This award recognizes faculty members whose scholarship, dedication, and leadership have greatly enriched the life of the Medical College, its faculty and its students.
